When people go out so see a band in one of the many venues in the area they are looking predominantly for one thing. They want to have a good time. I believe this is lost on many of the other groups these days. Maybe I am wrong but this isn't about the guys in the band. It is about the fans. Will they have fun? If they have fun then everybody wins. Chaser works every day toward that goal. What songs can we do to increase the fun factor?  What antics can we put together to bring some humor into the show?  How can we arrange the songs so we get the greatest impact?

Chaser started about 13 years ago with just three members. JOHN is still remaining. John is a drummer and has been playing professionally in the area for the last 30 years. About 10 years ago Chaser was looking to expand. They wanted to add another member to give a fatter sound and more variety to the music.

Along came SCOTT. He also has been playing professionally in the five state areas for about 30 years.  His Prior bands include Wildfire and Strodes Creek.  I guess the time was just right because he brought in keyboards, saxophone, fiddle, mandolin, and guitar to the mix and gave the music the spice it needed. The core sound was defiantly there. He added the variety of sound we needed to take it to the next level. In 2011 Chaser changed Bass Players and found Jesse Nelson  he come in with an impressive resume.  Having had 6 years of intensive vocal trainning at St. Johns University and 15 years of professional Bass Playing the vocal performance of Chaser is better then ever.           In 2010 Chaser replaced their guitar player of 13 years with a 20 year veteran.  Paul Singh is a high caliber player that has been with bands like  Korolus, and  Sweet Papa Dave brings a quality polished sound that adds life to the music.

In 2009 Chaser added the piece of the puzzle that completed the picture.  Jen is the lead singer of the band she once won a contest that was sending her to Nashville for the final show of the contest.  This show was somewhat like American Idol or Star Search and had to potential for a recording contract.  However due to unforeseen circumstances she could not follow through with this.  She started singing with her grandfather Dave at the age of 3.  Dave is now a member of the South Dakota Music Hall of Fame.  This love of music and the stage may have started at 3 but grew along with her singing ability.  She has sung with a few bands mainly in the Rock and Blues area on and off through the years and now has brought her wonderful talents to Chaser.  Chaser is about fun and since Jens arrival we are even more.  The music that is played is about on third contemporary  and about 100% dance and entertainment.  If you combine Great Songs, Great Players, Great singer, and Great fun you get an entertaining band that will  give you a great show.   Come out and have a Great Time with Chaser.
